AMIA, in partnership with the Alamo Drafthouse, first presented a Film Projection Workshop on October 28, 2014 at the Alamo South Lamar, Austin TX to offer training for managers, curators and projectionists presenting 35mm film in theaters.
The workshop offered a hands-on tutorial for projectionists and theater staff working with 35mm film prints and focussed on film preparation and projection as well as special stipulations for archival projection, coordinating with lending institutions, and paperwork.
